Earth Day in Indiana

18 May

AFH Indy was excited to exhibit at Earth Day Indiana’s 20th festival with our INASLA partners. Since the first Earth Day in 1970, Earth Day has spread from a grassroots movement to an international launching pad for many issues involving Man’s relationship with the planet.

AFH Indy is expanding public outreach to cultivate support and public involvement with projects, like Park(ing) Day® 2010, which address urban environment quality. Earth Day Indiana provided the opportunity to dispel general misconceptions that architecture, built or landscaped, and the environment have conflicting interests and that projects benefiting humanity cause environmental damage.

The truth is that well-designed architecture can benefit all parts of society while regenerating the ecosphere and exceeding a project’s goals. Click here to view photographs from the event!
